Passages

Lines move through rather than contain.

Loose, wavering marks travel across softer fields, connecting, dividing and redirecting the space around them.

Silent Collision

Held at Distance

Collision Line began as a test of how much high-energy colour the structure could absorb without losing control. Magenta and acid green should not work together, but they do so beautifully, pushing against a cooler, quieter field held in place by the dominant diagonal.

The result is sharp but contained rather than chaotic. It suits contemporary interiors where a compact work can bring tension and colour without overwhelming the space.

Soft Breach

Already Landed

The idea for Soft Breach appeared when the window frame in my studio cast a shadow onto a blank panel. I loved its geometry, so I grabbed a pencil and made a sketch.

The result sits between structure and atmosphere, capturing the point where something fixed begins to soften without disappearing entirely. Pale blue-grey fields, translucent layers and darker lines create a quiet tension, while the restrained palette gives it an easy stillness.

State Resonance

Elsewhere Here

State Resonance grew from the experience of two states of mind existing at once. Pale, veiled fields hold several structures together, while the two red marks act as points of sudden activation.

The painting is quiet but psychologically charged. At 90 × 60 cm, it has enough presence to anchor a living room, hallway or other spacious contemporary interior without becoming visually loud.

Regardless

Natural Pressure

Regardless began with a question: could I make a cold painting without using blue? Mineral grey, dirty white, muted yellow, deep brown and green create a natural palette that never quite becomes landscape.

The acid yellow threatens to take over, but darker forms hold it in check. Compact and uncompromising, it works well in contemporary interiors that can carry something sharper and less polite.

Hidden Fracture

Witness and Fault

Hidden Fracture plays with the difference between what appears to control a painting and what actually does. A wavering gold line dominates the surface, while a barely visible physical fracture in an imperfect board quietly determines the black field below.

There was something unique about using this defect as a structural catalyst for the composition. Its luminosity and small scale make it especially suited to intimate spaces where close viewing reveals what isn’t obvious at first.

Resistance

Force Contained

Resistance is built around movement that keeps meeting something in its way. Loose lines travel through softer fields, changing direction as they encounter shifts in colour and weight.

Nothing forms a fixed boundary; the painting advances through a series of small negotiations. Its largely black, white and grey palette, rough textures and visible wood grain give it an industrial feel, making it ideal for exposed walls in a contemporary setting.
