Currents
Movement gathers, shifts and pulls away.
Forms gather momentum across the surface, shifting between flow, resistance and restraint.
Kinetic Pull
Braced Descend
Kinetic Pull is driven by electrifying force. Saturated teal and turquoise carry the eye across the surface, while deep red, black and a sharp yellow accent create pressure and counterweight.
It has the kind of energy that can change the feel of a room, so I see it in a space that can take a stronger visual presence against simple architecture and quieter furnishings.

Held Under
It Finds the Gap
Held Under commands attention through its scale and complexity. Broad pale passages press against darker blue and charcoal forms, with warmer traces caught between them rather than allowed to break free. The tension feels compressed rather than contained, as though the painting is holding something back.
In a clean contemporary space, it can become a strong focal point without relying on bright colour for impact.

Against Current
Echo Denied
I built Against Current to be a deliberate contradiction: speed held in check, warmth buried beneath a cooler surface. Teal, blush, maroon and grey pull in different directions, while darker lines keep the painting under tension.
At 60 × 90 cm, it has real wall presence and suits a living or commercial space where its complexity can unfold gradually rather than reveal itself all at once.

Below Threshold
The Haze Holds
If you look closely, the top part of the painting is sharper while the lower section drifts out of focus, giving the impression that something is submerged, held just beneath the point of becoming fully visible. Cool mint, teal and lavender soften the tension, while darker passages stop the painting becoming serene.
It would sit beautifully in a pared-back room with pale walls, where its quieter shifts can reveal themselves slowly.

White Interval
Between Pressures
I love the restless balance in White Interval. Pale forms open the composition while deeper cobalt, turquoise and charcoal pull it back into tension. Nothing quite settles, which is what gives the painting its energy and keeps the eye moving.
At 50 × 50 cm, it has enough presence to hold its own in a living room, hallway or workspace without dominating the room.

Fractured Ozone
Where the air splits
In Fractured Ozone I was trying to catch the instability of a summer sky just before the light changes. Cool blue-grey and white are interrupted by sudden pink, like those fleeting colour shifts that disappear almost as soon as you notice them.
The painting has enough calm for a living space, but the colour keeps it alert, especially against pale walls or quieter neutral furnishings.

Held Back
At the Edge
Held Back carries its tension quietly. Teal shapes stand out against the silence of grey fields, but the movement never fully resolves, leaving a sense of energy suspended rather than released.
Its restrained palette and gentle floating quality make it especially suited to a study, focused workspaces, hallway or contemporary living space where something quieter can still hold your attention.

Breach of Light
Cold Admission
Breach of Light is pared back by its restricted palette to the point where every mark matters. Blue and white hold the surface in restraint until one concentrated passage breaks through, giving the painting its charge.
I envisage this painting in a minimal interior or work-focused space, where that single moment of release can carry more weight than a louder composition ever could.
