Finally, Auto Amor!

There is something absurd about having your work exhibited twice in a gallery and managing to miss both openings. Yet that's precisely what I did with Signal Held at Auto Amor.

I finally corrected that with a trip to Auto Amor HQ in Sevenoaks.

Tom, who started the whole venture, was there to welcome me (and grin for the obligatory photograph) and then immediately said: “can you mind the shop for a few mins - need to move the car” leaving me with a bunch of people in the gallery. Later, we managed to have a good catch-up, I got to see some fantastic art and spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon chatting with fellow artists and visitors about work, ideas and the sometimes peculiar business of living a creative life.

What I particularly like about Auto Amor is that Tom isn't just putting paintings on walls. He's bringing people together, and doing a rather good job of it.

And, as a bonus, I finally got to see Signal Held hanging somewhere other than my own studio.
