The Grand Opening. Of the small shop

I have been on a steep learning curve. Apparently, being an artist also means becoming a part-time logistics coordinator, product photographer, pricing strategist, packaging engineer and minor expert in online payment systems.

Yesterday, I finally switched on the shop section of my website.

Not because I have suddenly transformed into a ‘creative entrepreneur’ with a seven-step funnel, but because at some point I realised that “contact me for details” is often code for “too much friction”.

The strange thing is how quickly a painting changes psychologically the moment it gets a price tag and an Add to Cart button. Same painting. Same surface. Same hours in the studio.

One version belongs to the abstract realm of ‘practice’; the other enters the world of objects, decisions, budgets, shipping costs and somebody’s actual living room. And this transition requires 47 versions of the same JPEG.
